I went to see Peabody and Sherman because the reviews assured me that it wasn’t a childhood-destroying mess that spat all over Jay Ward’s grave. Yes, it seems too many films do this these days.

Romance angles can also be overplayed too. I found that to be the case in Despicable Me 2. I actually was comfortable with him being a single parent.

Awww, I'm sad to hear that Kristen Wiig's character in Despicable Me 2 gets relegated to "token love interest". She seemed so badass in the trailer.

I agree that Penny was too easily forgiven for being such a vicious bully to Sherman.

But I'm glad they ended up closer friends by the end of the movie.

The flying scene was cute, though. I read she's similar to Astrid from How to Train Your Dragon, only she does NOT fall in love with the main protagonist. At least not right away, they are still just kids. O_o
