And now, the latest chapter in the Chick-Fil-A saga....

Aug 04, 2012 10:55

Everyone has probably seen this video already. But I think it's worth posting anyway because this man has done something miraculous. He has brought the pro and anti Chick-Fil-A folks together to agree on one thing:
THIS GUY IS THE BIGGEST DOUCHE IN THE UNIVERSE!!!!

What a major douchebag. He's a bigger douchebag than Ryan Lochte and at least Lochte won Gold Medals for the US and this guy just felt some sort of self-righteousness. No, douchebag, you are not a better person for doing this. You could have done the same thing by a letter to the editor.

UGGGG this pisses me off so much.

Before this incident, the douchebag had a cushy job as a CFO at a medical company. Which makes it all the more infuriating that he chose to harass and belittle someone working at a drive thru (and he harassed her on a super busy day, to boot).

This struck a nerve with me because I'm so desperate for extra income right now that I wouldn't say no if a company that went WAY against my values offered me employment. I'm sure that a lot of gay people work at Chick-Fil-A and hate it; but they have no choice because the economy sucks.

I get the feeling that this dude never had to work a customer service grunt job in his life. Maybe that's why he's under the delusion that yelling at a teenager at a drive-thru is "speaking truth to power" somehow.

The party that brought us James O'fucking'Keefe and Kyle fucking Bristow is complaining about abrasiveness (and, really, it's not like this guy was that abrasive at all)? Oh, this is too much.

I'm not a James O'Keefe fangirl and I have no idea who Kyle Bristow is. But nice try at making wild assumptions about someone you don't even know.

So, you think an appropriate way to protest Chick-Fil-A is to make sanctimonious speeches to the minimum wage employees at the bottom of the corporate totem pole? What does that accomplish aside from making some low-wage employee feel bad? Especially since, for all we know, that girl could be a gay person who works there because she was desperate for work and had no other options.

*sigh* You know, I'm rather glad we don't have Chick-Fil-A here in Canada because we're not having to deal with this mess.

That poor girl. I just want to give her a hug.

I can believe that jerk. He doesn't agree with the companies polices and doesn't want to buy food there fine, but don't take it out on the workers. It's not like they have any control over that. This guy was just attempting at an easy/cheap way to make himself feel better. If he wanted to do anything that would ACTUALLY have an effect on the company, he would take the time to write a letter to the company itself, NOT yell at the poor woman who is just trying to make a living.

I get the feeling that guy has never worked a customer service grunt job in his life. I just can't see how anyone who has been there could do something like this.

In a way, he did do something "purposeful". He gave both sides something to come together and agree on (and laugh at).

Wow, that's pathetic. A grown man with children bullying a teenage girl and posting a video of it to show off his toughness to the internet? Yeah, I'm REAL impressed. /sarcasm Dude, look at your life, look at your choices. From now on I hope he's only ever remembered as the asshole who bullied a teenage girl, never allowed to live it down and never remembered for his other accomplishments.
