I doubt it's ruined - I know of others who are still eating out of one from two years ago. (I don't know how. If it's open, I'm eating. And if it's not open, I'm thinking of excuses to open it, so I can eat it. I love apple butter!)

No card. That's why I asked, to be honest - no card, no nothing. I was actually afraid you'd hated it, but didn't want to say anything.

My mom and I used to sing along to Somebody to Love. Loudly, with all the windows open. Once we were stuck on a highway, and we were belting it out.

The cops were very polite in their applause...

Well no WONDER! I sent you a card via the address Donald gave me. I feel bad you never got it. I will try again this year! I would never had intentionally not said anything. And I know I asked Donald to ask you if you had gotten my card and i bet he didnt, little scoundrel!

No; he's actually asked several times. I've told him there hasn't been any card, and he kept saying he'd talk to you. Whether he did or not I don't know; it didn't feel right to me to keep saying "Donnie Donnie did she send it did she send it". I figured the best way to say anything was for me to ask you directly.

Which I did, and seems to have worked.

If you plan on using the jar, by all means keep it. I tend to drink out of them as well; they're an easy grab, and the size of the jar is comfortable. Plus they hold more than the average coffee cup - another bonus!

...says the person who plans to take a photograph of a house that exists largely in my brain and make a cross-stitch out of it?

In between doing a couple of bedspreads and a peacock and a sewing machine and a typewriter and at least one fooshee?

Martha, no; you have better design-sense. But mini?

Wahl...yaaaaaaaaaaas.

Okaaay, I concede.

For some reason, discussing the craftiness bit, the strongest mental image that comes up is helping Breann make a paddle for her sorority sister.

It's Mom's doing - helped her with a bunch of craft stuff growing up.
And the x-stitch is entirely from being hyper...the only thing that the babysitter could find that would keep me still and in one spot everyday.

Before that, I was in the time-out corner a LOT!
