Yesterday was very odd, being that the students had a half day, but the staff were all there for the rest of the regular workday. very quick (and good) thinking on your part. They may be teenagers, but that doesn't mean there isn't going to be one student who's going to go "Ooohh lookit! so cute!" and try to smuggle it home.
Then there's the other possible student who's going to do unspeakable tortures to the poor animal ;_; sad I know but it happens.
