Do you mean literally? What a coincidence! I had mine cut very short again today. I had been trying to grow it back out for over a year now but had had enough. I've been looking like a frowsy old mop with a big body under it.
Have you never had short hair before, Bree? You may get to like it. Wait till the shock wears off. Then, if you still don't like it, try another hair cutter. If they are good, they will be able to give you a short style that suits you.
Well, actually... it's not that drastically short--I had maybe 3 inches taken off. It's definately been shorter, but I was just so shocked that for maybe an hour I kept going and looking in the mirror... and I'd run my hair through my hands and the hair just stopped, ha. And, being the quite poor, unemployed for the next 21 days college student that I am, I had my mother trim it for me rather than paying the $40 I usually pay for a cut. And apparently, in her world, trim means take off three inches.
But it actually worked out. You were right, the initial shock wore off and now I've decided I really like it this length.
That is a pretty funny coincidence! I too had been trying to grow my hair out after cutting it very short last January (2005), and it was just so very long... I didn't realize how long (not that long, but quite long for me!). Some of us just look better with a fresher, shorter cut!
