So I got that out there...

Yeah, last post was pretty emo, I know. It's just how my head is inside right now. Holding up that mask traps all the good inside with the bad and makes me much more cynical than I already am (which is pretty damned impressive, really). I dislike that. Greatly.

So here's some 'good' stuff to balance it:

Game of Thrones is amazing!! We got the 5th one right when it came out but I haven't read the others in so long I decided to re-read them first. It's really difficult having a brand-new book to a series that I love in my house and I can't touch it yet! Argh!!
And yay wine!

It's really surprising how incredible this series is. And people on the outside are really becoming worried/annoyed about how obsessive my office clique is. Yet I just want to shake them and say, "If you were reading the books and watching the show you would KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS!"
Instead we brush off the weird looks and shaking heads and continue falling deeper into Westeros and loving every minute of it.

I'm curious, as it's something I discuss with the boys a lot, who's your favorite character (to this point)?

My favorites have changed since the start of the series but I always love a good Tyrion or Arya chapter. Some of the characters and their chapters annoy the shit out of me (Cersei, argh) but I guess that means they're well-written if they provoke at least some kind of response. :)
I started the 5th book last night and it's going well so far!

I'm very jealous of you being into book 5 :)

I think Tyrion and Arya's chapters are my favorite in terms of writing (and I do like both characters a lot), and I agree about Cersei. Especially in book 4 so far. I just want to strangle her -- paranoid, crazy, wench!
I joke to people that it's a mark of distinction for the series that my favorite characters are the tomboy (Arya), the imp (Tyrion), and the bastard (Jon). Oh, how I love Jon Snow...

Also, anything Darren Criss sings.
HAHAHAHAAA! YES.

I'm glad that you're doing well, though, and that there are plenty of positive things in your life now, too. <333

Thanks!

That boy's voice seriously makes anything better. While I like Glee, I'm basically psyched to be going to see the concert movie to see Darren sing 'live' :)

Seen. Loved. Quote incessantly.

I often leave the office for the night and say, "Voldemort out, bitches," to my co-workers. I also made three of them watch AVPM before we went to the midnight screening of HP7.1 :)
