This isn’t so much a fancy-tickler as it is a rant, and if you’re not into figure skating I reckon you’ll get bored, unless you ARE into sports where the whole basis of the rankings is based on subjective judgments of seemingly objective qualifications ( Read more... )

i was really shocked that Weir got such a low score.
it really seemed like the judges had it out for him.

They had it out for him both nights. He should have been in 4th after the short and ended in either 3rd or 4th place. It was utterly ridiculous, especially after the judges last night were so generous to both Nobunari Oda and Stephane Lambiel.
I am, however, elated for Evan Lysacek. He fought for that gold and totally earned it.

i didn't see figure skating last night, but i have to assume the judges were on the same drugs they were using during the pairs short program, and those were DAMN fine drugs.
