Lynette hated Rex. She didn’t hate him because of the careless way he told Bree he wanted a divorce. She didn’t hate him because of the number of times he had walked out on her best friend or for his ignorance towards the pain that his wife was going through. She didn’t even hate him for the affair he had and the way he had gone behind Bree’s back.
Lynette hated Rex because he was able to see Bree when Bree was just being her, not pretending. She hated him because he was able to make her fall under his control. She hated the fact that he was able to caress her beautiful body and take her to a place of ultimate pleasure that most could only dream about. She hated that he could cover Bree’s lips with his whenever he wanted and that he had access to all of her inner-most feelings. She hated that he had hurt her and yet he still is able to have all of these things. She hated the way that he took all of this for granted and that he had the opportunity to give Bree everything she wants but did not take it.
Lynette hated Rex for all of these reasons but all in all Lynette hated Rex because he had Bree and that was something that Lynette could never have. No matter how much she wanted it.
