The current round at blindfold has sparked a great deal of discussion about the appropriateness of using real-life minors or instances of real-life abuse as inspiration for kink fic. I agree with those objecting to certain prompts which have been posted, and believe the mods have made a serious mistake in electing not to delete the prompts in

Concurred. I'd been planning on participating, but after seeing those prompts and the mod's reaction to them, well, no thank you.

I'm trying to think if I've ever done anything in blindfold, and I don't think so, and I am definitely flagging and removing them from my view. As you said, it's one thing if it's completely fictional characters and stories, but to bring children into something like this....for fuck sakes that's just too much.

I'm not in the right frame of mind for reading or writing at the moment anyway, so I had been planning on skipping this round of blindfold entirely anyway.

But I can pretend I'm doing on principle, right? I don't know about any discussion or mod responses, but RPF about actual children is a line I am comfortable in drawing.
