what you said about writing the same version of dean, sam and cas across all your fics makes lots of sense to me. the pairing i've written most extensively is harry/draco and my harry and my draco are pretty similar across my stories. that's because the version of harry and draco that's in my stories is who i believe these people are. i read a far wider variety of characterizations than i write.

When Cas told the boys to bow down and worship him, I literally laughed out loud!

I am really looking forward to people who will be able to handle "Godstiel" over the summer..... but yeah, he seems pretty different from who he was before, so how will people make it work????

This is all very interesting! Now I'm wondering this myself. I've been working on a story where Sam goes evil but still stays himself forever. It's hard going. But when the characterizations are more true to what I think the characters are...it's a lot easier going.

This is why I failed at my Merlin Big Bang. I don't have a handle on the characters yet.

As for Castiel, I have yet to really write him except for the fic I'm working on now. I'm hoping that other people's fics will help me get a handle on his new character development! :)
