YES!! The awesome thing was, we're all sitting there in the bar going, "Wait, is that snow? It is!" And, since we're all from New England (or, rather, all go to school in New England), the first snow of the season is awesome but nothing, like, unusual. But it never snows in Paris, so all the Parisians rushed to the windows and were taking pictures. :P

LOL, how could this have even been a serious question? My response to those who chose Amy: j_daisy November 30 2008, 04:08:40 UTC

OH MY GOD. That is hilarious and it will haunt my nightmares! AMAZING.

I was thinking about this, and I think I've figured it out: they're trying to subtly create a divide in shipper lines, Jo/Laurie vs. Amy/Laurie. And, ok, yeah, I get that, but if you don't ask that outright, you're just going to get a lot of people going, "Bzuh?"

That must be their intent, because there is NO CONTEST. It's like asking, "would you like to be strong, independent, and brilliant - or would you rather whine a lot?" By the way, I do think that Laurie was best off with Amy because he and Jo would have fought too much - and Jo got too teach with the Professor, and I don't think she would have been able to do that so... wisely... with Laurie.

Oh, I so agree - they were both MUCH better off in the long run, and Amy even got to marry a rich man for love, which was basically everything she could've wanted (and so much better than Fred Vaughn, whom she was just casually fond of). But that doesn't mean I don't grin like mad whenever I read Jo/Laurie scenes, because I still kind of like them better. (Shh.) :D
