i think i will actually die if i don't get home for Christmas.
this is really..really..really bothering me.. and there's nothing i can do about it besides quit my job. why am i forced to make a decision on this. why doesn't everyone get a reasonable amount of time for the holidays to spend with their family and friends. what the hell is wrong with

that's retail. retail = booming during christmas, thus christmas holidays = teh suck for retail folk. i quit my retail job when they wouldn't give me more than a few days off for christmas. it was worth it.

that's exactly what i see myself doing. there's no way i'm going to be working THROUGH Christmas practically. like, if they AGREE to give me a few days, like you said.....that isn't enough. and it doesn't even come close. and i keep asking random associates what they think will happen. and they all pretty much say that it's a lost cause. so it looks like i'll be putting in my two weeks notice towards the end of November..!

and i don't mean to shit on your job or anything... but there will be jobs when you come back after christmas. lots of them. the service industry is still crying for people, and i bet retail will still be looking too.

i mean, i said to carolyn that i'll even try to get one at a call center if i have to. i don't even care..cuz i'll be miserable anyway if i stay at Walmart and don't get the time off.
