How...did you go from being that to being a hero?

Well, it started with a girl. My enemy, at the time. She was a vampire Slayer, I was a vampire... we didn't care for each other much. But then I fell in love with her. Didn't mean to, but once it happened, I couldn't go on being what I'd been. She started to let me in a little, but it was pretty bloody clear she'd never love me, not while I was still evil. So I went and found a certain demon in Africa who gave me my soul back. Not an easy thing to do, you know, I had to go through trials. Bloody painful ones, too. And once I got it, well, then the real pain began. Still, I worked through it, with the help of the girl I mentioned, worked at being a good man, doing the right thing, and in the end I went out in a blaze of glory, saving the world from unspeakable evil.

She was, needless to say, incredibly impressed.

There are a lot of different demons. This one restored mine. And yeah, I'm still a vampire. Just... I stick to pig's blood, not human's.
