Watch City Festival cancelled

Well, it seems that the Watch City Festival, formerly known as the International Steampunk City, just got cancelled entirely for this year. I mentioned that I was very excited by the possibility of getting Mrs. Hawking space to be performed there, which would be great for both acquiring a venue and getting publicity from the rest of the event. A Message From the Festival Director:

Attendees of the Watch City Festival. In prior days I made a posting as festival director stating, incorrectly, that the festival would be moved to Spring 2015. This was premature, since the Downtown Waltham Partnership may yet make changes beyond my tenure as director, in order to host a 2014 festival. I apologize for sowing confusion. For everyone, this should be exciting news, since there may be a possibility for a festival in 2014.

Please hang on for updates from the Downtown Waltham Partnership, and please once again accept my personal apologies for any confusion caused by the prior posting to this site.

According to the website, looks like Alex is still listed as the Festival contact, the site lists his email as alex@watchcityfestival.org.
He'll probably be able to give better advice on what, if anything, can be done to help. If nothing else, maybe he could at least point you towards the incoming director.
