I've been freelancing for a steampunk festival in New Jersey (which is in May, but quite non-local); would you mind if I ask if they have thoughts on venues for you (or put you in touch with someone directly who would know)?

Do you know folks in I Sebastiani? (Eg and especially, Mike Bergman?) They've been doing shows as part of Steampunk City since the beginning, and might be able to give you some tips on how to proceed.

Also, Bill McInich (sp?), who is an Intercon regular, is IIRC one of the organizers, so he might also be worth reaching out to...
