No matter if you can spend $200,000 or $400,000 or $1.2 million, there will always be nicer homes out there than yours. Tis the sad truth ( Read more... )

God, the school thing is so true. We're going to have to spend more to get less just to have good public schools.

I know, we're finding that out too...hard to find an nice, affordable home in a good school district that's not a fixer-upper. :|

oh my god.

I WANT A UNICORN FARM.

Thanks a lot, Liz. I'd never even thought about a unicorn farm before, and now I'm wondering how I'm going to squeeze one into a condo.

AHHH I KNOW THE FEELING. We are house hunting as well. So difficult! I get the garage thing, my husband and I both want one and they are difficult to find in our price range and locations. I'm addicted to checking listings. I check several times a day waiting for that perfect house to show up! Good luck in your search!!!!

We put in a bid on a house today that we LOVED...got outbid and the buyer had all cash, we never stood a chance even though we bid over the asking price. :| Houses around here are going so quick too, two we've liked have sold after being listed for just 3 days. I've missed parts of so many work days just so we can hustle out and visit houses lol.

Good luck to you and your husband!! It's rough out there!
