I knew that was going to happen. What actually gets to me the most is knowing Kaylee probably won't see a penny of that money, so it's all been for nothing.

DAMN.

She might still get it. The lawyer might squeal, but even he might have a slight bit of horse sense and not mention the one safe deposit box that has Kaylee's name on it.

Yeah, it's possible. I just have a feeling somehow that nothing that sweet or nice would be allowed to happen here. And there must be something to link Kaylee to that box (a record at the bank or something), or else Mike would be relying on that lawyer to give Kaylee the money rather than possibly keep it for himself.

I am not going to lie I expected something more shocking from a penultimate episode. Instead it ended "quietely" with a very expected death (Mike has been on death watch for weeks now, I have always said that Walt would kill him so I am not surprised), in a beautiful place. It was almost poetic, as the scenery was just gorgeous (that shot of the two cars and the men meeting up beneath the trees ( ... )

The look in his eyes when he watched Mike and Jesse shake hands, and later when Jesse voluntereed to help Mike? Pure jealousy!

I also thought that Walt's jealousy over Jesse loving and respecting Mike was part of Walt's motive for murdering him. Of the two father figures, Mike was doing the right thing. He was protecting Jesse and encouraging him to get out of the meth business. Mike would've been so much safer asking Jesse to bring him his money but he chose to be selfless. Well, that and I think Mike really wanted to give Walt a piece of his mind.

But Walt, why did you have to tell the bad (other) bad guys that there were actually two cooks?! The second he said it I was "Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!" My thoughts exactly. I really don't think Declan cared for Walt's "Lick my boots, peasants" routine. Why deal with a power crazy megalomaniac like Walt when Jesse can cook the blue meth too? Drug empires don't have cooks as their kingpins. Cooks seem to be little more than slaves. So yeah, I reckon sometime in S5.2 Declan's crew will ( ... )

Good point! I missed that - Walt's braggadocio could land Jesse in hot water! Jesse even looked kind of uncomfortable, and looked over at Mike when that happened.

Oh, Jesse. Just when you think you're out for good, Mr. White will find a way to pull you back in. :(

I'm still in shock over last night's episode. Maybe it was obvious, but I really thought that Mike would be the one to put Walt in his place, or maybe even off him in the end. As soon as Walt said he would get Mike's money, I knew that it wouldn't end well. I do still believe that Walt will get what's coming to him, it's just a matter of who's going to deliver it.

I've felt for a while now that Mike was doomed, ever since he started looking out for Jesse in fact. It was the quiet manner of his death that shocked me, coupled with the fact that even Walt thought it was unnecessary.

I was totally outraged when Walt suddenly said to Mike that he could have got the names from Lydia. As if that's the ONLY thing Walt could have done to avert all this.

Yeah. What was unforgivable, I think, in this context, is that Walter had almost a moment of regret, and then closed that off as he realized Lydia had the names. And as he's been doing so often lately, he seems to think if he peppers the air with enough words the people around him will do as he wants them to.

Mike's rejoinder was perfect, in light of that.

I honestly have a feeling Jesse and Skyler are gonna team up to take Walt down.

I was surprised by Mike's death.

Walt's desperate trying to teach Todd how to cook. I hope Jesse comes back to the business. Walt's hurt by Jesse's defection. It's lonely at the top, isn't it?

I also noticed Skyler isn't cooking anymore; they were eating microwave dinners. Then she walked away from him with her wine glass. Ouch.

What's up with the flip phones? Why don't these people have Smartphones? Does this bother anyone else?

Only one year has passed - so if the show started in 2008, they're in 2009. Smart phones weren't that big back then. I actually love this little detail. :)
