Damnit, I expected the cold open to be a flashback and Tarentula boy to be young Todd!

That last scene? Jesse's worst nightmare come true. To think that a few seconds before he was so happy, high even: his idea turned out to be good, the heist was a success, Mr White was happy and proud of him...

I had read some advance articles this weekend which hinted Todd would do something very dark and shocking, so I was just waiting the whole episode for it to happen!

I had NO idea it would be the cold open kid, though. DDD: Jesse is going to lose it - that's the worst sin of all in his eyes.

I do feel like the "see Walt, this is how people really feel about what you've done, even when they don't know the whole truth" idea is being spread on a bit thicker than usual. Is it because we're so near the end of the series? Hmm.

You mean by way of Skyler?

I like that Walter White, that control freak, is so ego-high that he has quite forgotten the principle of uncertainty while he's named himself Heisenberg. Elements of chaos may pop up on the road, and Skyler is right to tell him that he can't promise things, be certain of things.

Walt himself used to bring chaos in the crime world, but now that he's king he has to deal with all the proverbial grains of sand that may jam things, and the unexpected consequences that follow.

The aftermaths of the killing of Tarentula boy are going to be interesting. Mike will be pissed off because of the new mess to clean (Skyler called it when she talked about burying bodies!), and Walt cannot condone Todd's move or he will lose Jesse.

But maybe Jesse is already lost to the team? This could be a wake-up call for him.

Methinks Walt liked the idea of Lydia putitng a hit on Mike.

I'm also interested in how Walt will react (or choose to react) to the death of Spider boy (sigh...so sad that we don't even know his name). Walt worked very hard to convince Jesse that he'd never dream of poisoning Brock. I do think Walt will be genuinely troubled by the kid's death, since I think he was careful not to give Brock a fatal dose and was relieved he pulled through.

It's Jesse's reaction I'm waiting for though. It looks like he is getting angry and proactive in the promo rather than falling into a despair. I hope it's a wake up call but it looks like Mike is already jumping ship next week and I don't see Walt allowing Jesse to leave too. I'm guessing that Lydia will be the one to 'buyout' their business, maybe taking control of Mike's network and hazard pay in exchange for Mike's partnership in Walter and Jesse's meth business. And yes, I definitely see Walt wanting to team up with Lydia to put another hit out on Mike.

Ugh definitely! :D

Did we see Walt's expression when Todd shot that kid? I am wondering about how he'll respond to this incident...

I'm wondering, too. He didn't even get a chance to decide what to do (or how it would benefit him, tbh!) before Todd shot the kid. Walter does not like to lose control any more than Jesse likes kids getting hurt!

OMG.

I totally forgot about the kid. I couldn't believe they pulled it off and then the kid rides up on his bike. Jesse's gonna freak in the next ep.

Walt's getting darker. I like it, but it also scares me. What's he going to do to Skyler? To Mike? To Lydia? They're setting us up for one hell of a cliffhanger.

You hear the train whistle near the end of the cold open, but I just figured it to be showing the area where the train would be. It wasn't until the jar fell out of his shirt with the tarantula that I made the connection that it was the same time frame.

I have no idea what he will do! I'm terrified for every single character except Walt. D:

Just finished watching it. It took me about 90 minutes to watch the whole thing because I really couldn't stand the tension of the last 5 minutes with Walt insisting on getting that little bit more despite the fact that Jesse is UNDER THE TRAIN.

And then as soon the heist is over and I'm finally relaxed... damn.

I don't see how Jesse can survive this season. Now that there's no Gus to work out the finer details of a huge operation, he's going to be confronted with the reality of killing left, right and centre and that's inevitably going to make him an obstacle in Walt's path once more.

I think if I hadn't been watching live with the chat group, I would have paused a ton myself! It was REALLY intense.

I hope that Jesse is more a voice of reason than a hindrance, but you know how that goes when Walt's in the equation. :/ I am so nervous about these last three...

There's been shadows hanging over Jesse and Skylar all season. I'd be surprised if they both make it to next year.

Am I being really cynical thinking Walt probably doesn't give a damn about some random dead kid at this point? I can see him pretending to give a damn in order to keep Jesse onside, but I can also see his arrogance/delusion reaching the point where he thinks "do I need to bother keeping Jesse onside?"
