"I alone should suffer the concequences?" OMG when does Walt ever truly sufffer the consquences? Everyone but him and his family suffers from his actions. What would Walt be without Jesse to pay the price for Walt's actions. Yeah I'm a little angry
Wow, amazing episode and can't wait to see what happens next week.
Two quick questions: When will the series come back? Probably summer 2012, right? On the other hand ya never quite know since they took such a long break before this season.
Okay, so we have 16 eps for next season, right? I wonder if they plan on splitting the season up and have 8 episodes shown, take a break and then come back with the final 8 or will it be the entire 16 episodes?
Perhaps it's way too earlier to be asking either question. It's just something I've wondered about.
Wow! Wouldn't it be a twist if it turned out Gus DIDN'T poison Brock?? I can't imagine how Walt and Jesse will take him down. As Walt said himself, Gus is always several steps ahead.
I personally think Walt poisioned Brock somehow as a means to get Jesse back on his side and willing to help him kill Gus. While I know many hate the idea that Walt would do such a thing you must admit Walt can do and justify doing a whole lot when it comes to protecting himself and the family. Backed against the wall, family in real danger and on the outs with Jesse who he needs to get to Gus I don't think there is anything he wouldnt try.
While I'm not sure what happened to the cig Walt wouldnt need that bit as he could have saved some from the batch he made (Jesse commented how little there was compared to the Tuco batch) or made more for the job.
I don't know just how but I do believe Walt poisioned the kid in an attempt to get Jesse at his side and against Gus.
I cant see Walt being the deliberate poisoner. I though it was probably and accident... Brock sneaked a cigg or something. I also had wondered if Gus didn;t get a hold of it and use it on Don Eladio's gang. So this was a surprise twist for me.
I do not think it is possible that Walt poisoned Brock. I just don't think he's that evil. Gus, on the other hand, is evil. He's a wonderful, wonderful characters, but I think he's stone evil.
I am thinking that the final episode of this series will play out like the shoot-out at the end of LA confidential, where the love/hate partners hold the derelict Victory Motel against a great horde of hired killers in a big gun battle. I think that would be great.
I don't think he'd see it as evil exactly. I think he'd see it as herioc and needed sacrifice. I personally think Walt is a pro at making peace with all sorts of ugly in the name of saving others from people worse (he's not the bad guy) than he.
He'd simply convince himself he had no other choice but do it as a means to get Jesse to help him kill Gus which saves so many lives including (for his own good) Jesse. Against the wall and desperate to protect his own I bet he'd quickly see the sacrifice of one for the safety of the many a sad but needed means to an end.

Also, fuck Vince G for getting that much mileage out of the nail-biting end sequence.
Not with a bang, but a whimper.

Now I believe that neither Walt nor Gus did it.
