Big and Confusing Mansion, Saturday Morning

Mikey wasn't at all sure about this. He'd woken up in a big bed in a pretty big room, and now he was standing in front of a pretty big open fridge. There was all kinds of unfamiliar-looking stuff in there. Way more of it than what he was used to, too

Derek slipped out of a bed that smelled strongly of someone else and things he wasn't supposed to know about, but Uncle Peter got in trouble for explaining to his nieces and nephew.

Because Peter was always a creepy uncle. Always.

He had the puffball of a dog safely tucked under his shirt again as he investigated the kitchen. "Hi."

"Hi," Mikey hazarded after a moment of looking like he wasn't sure if he'd just been caught doing something he shouldn't have or not.

He didn't immediately say anything else. His super talkative years were still ahead of him.

Well, that was okay. Derek was currently in his talkative years. "Are you hungry?"

"Yeah," he admitted after another pause. Then he pointed at the fridge. "Can't reach the mayo. I wanted to make sandwiches."

Stiles really needed to learn to get a life at school, but apparently that wasn't happening this weekend. He pushed open the front door with a small duffle in his hand, intending to stay until Monday morning. "Hello?"

"Hi, Stiles!" Weren't you glad you picked this week to visit?

"Again?"

Derek sighed and let the dog go. Because yes, again.

"I was getting him food."

Meaning lunch meat. Dog food smelled awful, okay? No one should eat that.
