Fanmixes Galore
It seems that one thing that catches my brain and actually keeps hold lately is the desire to fanmix. Or, at least, to tenuously relate bunches of songs to things I'm fond of. So, it follows that the thegameison_sh bonus challenge led to a bit of overindulgence. The fanmix I ended up posting was complete crack, but pretty much unavoidable once I discovered that I had some nearly-forgotten songs that were a perfect fit. And so I ended up with this:
John's in the Fridge - the Brothers Creeggan

For the moments when the dismembered denizens of the fridge take pause and are stared at in shock and disbelief instead.
Ton Plat Favori - Malajube

(I am your favourite food / the blood on your lancet)
For the heart on a plate, which could probably be worked into a decent curry if other food doesn't turn up soon.
Head (She's Just A...) - Atom and his Package
Beatiful face and she don't take up much space / because she is just a head
For the companionable presence of the decapitated.
Body - Listenlisten
the arms keep moving / though the muscles are long dead
For those who are small enough to go in whole.
Dead - They Might Be Giants
Did a large procession wave their / Torches as my head fell in the basket?
For the inevitable existential distress of discovering one's afterlife takes place a refrigerator.
Scenic World - Beirut
the lights go on / the lights go off
For the refrigerator itself, and those who call it their home.
Cold Brains - Beck
Alone at last / No thoughts, / No mind / To rot
For the quiet contemplative decomposition of those posthumously dedicated to Sherlock's science.
