Thanks to sasha_feather for sending this my way. It's so interesting. As a Vermonter I sort of intuitively get both the concern for ancient roads and the importance of "public access." They had better hope they do not turn out like the towns in rural England who found themselves as GPS unit map shortcuts and now have hundreds of trucks barreling through their dirt roads every day. One town is petitioning to get OUT of the map system.
