I enjoy Futurama quite a lot (haven't seen that particular episode), but that has nothing to do with the fact that this is brilliantly written.

Yes, proper credit where credit is due, but this is not a simple find-and-replace; you've done a marvel to fit the plot into this world and to suit these characters. And I don't think any script or minute of animation could convey Sherlock's reaction to John's supposed death - I was crying from that point until the end of the first funeral. When the hint first appeared that John might have survived and, indeed, was keeping vigil at Sherlock's bedside, the relief was tremendous. And from there on I just admired the neat way you wrote everything simultaneously detailed yet ambiguous so, while we HOPED that Sherlock was the dreamer, it really took until the last half-page to be certain that he hadn't just been unable to cope with the loss of John.

It's a fantastic piece of work. Thank you so much for the pleasure of reading it. :)

There are seriously no words to say how happy this comment made me. I'm grinning a bit ridiculously now.

Thank you so, so much. All of that was exactly what I was going for, and the fact that it came across is just the best feeling ever. I'm so very glad it all worked for you. :D

Thank you so much for reading! <3 <3 <3

I don't like Futurama that much at all, never even realized you may have borrowed a plot. Don't care, really.

I must say that this is brilliantly written and I am sitting in my room crying my eyes out at this. It's breaking my heart the more I read it.
