I finally managed to dig up a new interface. I found it in one of the storage rooms, gathering dust. It's not as fancy as my old one, but it works. So yeah, here I am again

And, good night, Riku. I hope you sleep well. I don't remember how much you slept on the ship because I slept so much. I really don't sleep that much anymore either so it was weird.

I actually wound up getting interrupted before I got to sleep, but that shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Uh, I have to head out again eventually but maybe after I get back to some downtime? I'll probably be busy for a few weeks, but if we don't come back we'll run out of supplies and that would be bad.

I'm going to be out of town for a while too. Or rather, in town. If you're not back by the time I come back, though, I'll probably head out to the front lines again. This time I promise not to break my journal.
