Cakes and Concert

The cakes were a big hit. People kept telling me they were too cute to eat and asking if I really made them all myself. When I finally convinced everyone that they weren't too cute to eat, I was also informed that they were delicious. A couple of the prof's four-year-old daughter enjoyed the eggnog frosting more than the eggnog cake and ended up ( Read more... )

I remember a place called the Jewish Mother, but I think it was closed the whole time I lived in Williamsburg. Drat. It sounds awesome.

There apparently used to be a Jewish Mother in Williamsburg itself, owned by the same people as the one I went to which was in Virginia Beach. My understanding is something happened (maybe a fire?) and they never rebuilt and reopened. I guess you were here during the time it say empty and they were deciding what to do. They finally tore it down completely and I believe there is now an Arby's on the spot of the Williamsburg Jewish Mother :( As much as I love me some curly fries, that is such a waste.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I wanted to say that the Jewish Mother had a fire and that's why it was closed. I think it was sitting sadly off to the right on Richmond Rd my four years...
