I forgot to go to the elementary school last Friday. The part of my brain that knew I volunteer on Friday mornings and the part of my brain that knew it was Friday were apparently not communicating. I remembered this week, though! Good thing I did, too, because this is the last Friday of the school year. Next week, Friday is a teacher workday

I still think it's hilarious that you completely forgot to go to school last Friday. Did anyone ever say anything to you about that?

Maybe Indy promised to take her away from Nepal but didn't, and she's just pissed off at him that she didn't get her one chance? Easier to be angry at a boyfriend who dumped you than your father?

It really is funny. I mean, if you'd asked me I would have said "Of course today is Friday." I also would have said "Of course I volunteer on Fridays." Somehow those two thoughts just never connected. Oh well. No one said anything. Considering how scattered brained the teacher usually is and how organized I usually am, she probably figured I'd told her I couldn't make it and she just forgot.

It's most definitely easier to be pissed at an ex than at Dad! And considering she was only 16, once she wised up a bit she'd have plenty of reasons to be pissed aside from just being dumped even if her life was perfect from then on.
