Man, job-hunting is the pits. Best analogy I can find is shopping for a swim suit--the longer the process goes, the more tempting it is to just hate yourself and give up

The really, really funny thing is that after I posted this, in a fit of bleak despair after spending all afternoon finding out all the ways I'm unqualified to do anything, ever ... I immediately opened my email inbox to a "hey, I think you might be a fit for my business XYX, please send a tailored resume for the position if you're interested" email. And, yeah... I think I might be interested. The only skill set I don't have yet is SQL, but after taking a quick look at an online tutorial, it's something I could get myself up to competent to in a couple of weeks, max. No harm in applying, at any rate!
Anyhoo, God sometimes has a definite sense of humor in how He times things. :P
