For a while now, I've been really struggling to get myself to read print books instead of just staring even more at a computer screen than I already have to for work. I've only read a couple of 'real' books for years now, and decided to take a bunch of books to the charity shop because I have to recognise that I'm hoarding books I know I'm never going to get round to reading (or re-reading). Judge Dee was among those, as it happens 😂

Meanwhile I just bought a couple more on Amazon... ;)

I totally understand why they wouldn't be someone's cup of tea, though--the writing style and subject matter are a bit more niche than your typical mystery or historical novel.
