LOL

I love this. Naturally the pacing is wonderful but the voices are as they should be.

This may be my favorite line because I think Bret being moody and defensive is funny

“Yeah, I fed it, Jemaine. He told us to.”

But then I also love Bret's insistence he fed the plant and Jemaine resorts to asking what specifically. lol. And the answer's TEA (which I totally did BTW because I figured it would revolutionize plant care). Then the ending is classic as Bret turns the table, blaming Jemaine for the plant's death because he made no effort at all, lol.

So clever, loved it. Read these 125 words three times, hoping Bret and Jemaine wouldn't be complete incompetents with each new read. Nope. Still are.

Thank you ever so much for doing a FOTC drabble.

No, thank YOU for the awesome plot bunny! I really had a blast writing these two, and it was fun shortening their sentences and having them repeat each other (though I really wanted to do even more of that, but somehow thought it might not translate to the page very well, lol). BTW, I love defensive and moody Bret, too, and how he tries to blame Jemaine for not feeding the plant at all, lol.

Don't feel bad about your tea idea. There's probably some truth to it, if you've got the right tea. I had a co-worker who fed her plant the remainder of her morning tea every day -- it was some sort of Scottish rose tea (she swore by it); and then our boss tried to do the same but his tea had sugar in it, and it DID make the soil smell really rank. I don't think the plant died, but it was a very big plant. The plant lady had to come and do a dirt transplant. ;)

I love these two losers, and I can't wait for season two to start!! And did I tell you I have a friend who looks and dresses just like Mel? :D

Thanks again. :)

Hahaha, oh, that's rich! I loved that. It's so in character, down to the last line.

Oh, that's terrific!

I think what I liked best about it is how well you've written the dialog. In my head, I can totally hear Bret and Jemaine speaking the lines...(with Jemaine dressed as David Bowie, of course!)

Oh, yay, I'm so glad you think I nailed the dialogue. I love that show and the clipped way they speak to each other. Thanks for reading! :D
