Needless to say, she was somewhere between shell-shocked and starry-eyed by the time they arrived at Kennedy's building. Sookie kept staring out windows, eyes wide, and was trying really hard not to just burst with excitement at random New Yorkers. This was why poor Bobby had gotten stuck with the luggage. Because Sookie was having a squee attack.
"Oh my goodness, we're so high up," Sookie breathed as she peered at the floor number on the elevator again, then scurried over to knock on the door she really, really hoped was Kennedy's. She hadn't double-checked with her special sense because frankly New York had already started to give her a little bit of a headache. SO MANY PEOPLE.

She nudged the guest room door open with her hip and lugged the bags inside, setting them down as soon as possible so she could shrug broadly. "It's just little ol' me here, so nobody's gonna argue with my sleeping arrangements," she assured Sookie. "Dad's on some business cruise this week anyway, and my stepmom tries to know as little as possible about what I get up to. It's cool." She shook her head playfully at Sookie. "Seriously, chill. It'll be fine."

...Well, okay, this was Kennedy's, and he was content to leave most of the tour-guide-ing to her, but there was still that pride there. "I will say this for the 'time stuff'. It can be a headache to figure out, but I'm not complaining about the fact that we get to spend a week here and I'll be back in Fandom in time for class."

Bailey shuffled over to sniff cautiously at Bobby's foot, and Kennedy watched indulgently.
"It works out that way sometimes," she agreed. "Other times it just kinda sucks, but now? Bonus."
