Why Web Designers Hate Internet Explorer 6

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but hey, figuring out how to say this stuff clearly is important. To the car analogy, I'd say this:

Cars are not a new thing. They're pretty well standardized, and have been for quite some time.

But with the web, we're all still making it up as we go along.

Imagine that you had a really, really old car that ran on regular, leaded gas. Hardly anyone sells that anymore, and it just doesn't make sense for a modern gas station to bother with the extra pumps and price rules and supplier relationships necessary to support cars that run on this stuff. If gas stations did carry regular gas, it would probably be prohibitively expensive because of the lack of demand, and the cost for all the unleaded users would probably go up, too.

So it's really best for everybody involved to just forget it ever happened.
