So after two years, as part of a general effort on my part to fill out my portfolio a bit in order to gear up to start doing freelance work again, I finally figured out what I wanted to do with the main page for my nascent side project the Tinwatchman Company. Here's a screenshot:

That's really neat and different... I love the moving clouds and subtle texture on the menu rollover.

I found the transition on the main content area from barely visible (took me a while to find it) to totally opaque to be a bit jarring, though.

Hmm, yeah. That's a good point. Maybe I should put in a bit of JavaScript that puts in more or a fade in/fade out transition? Only thing I'd wonder about that is, it might get annoying after the first or second time...

About finding the main content window - how long do you think it took you to figure out that mouse over = opaque? Do you think that UI concept is too different from what's standard to be easy to use?
