I have tears in my eyes right now, the ending was just... ahh heartbreaking!
I love that Dean called John "Daddy" and that punishing Dean was so difficult for John that he started crying himself. I also felt really bad for Sammy, it must have been horrible having to listen to all that!

Also, the hunt was very well written, I find myself unable to write about hunt-related things for some reason, but you did it in a great way. :D

I always look forward to your stories too! Thank's for the praise about the hunt - I tried to keep it simple, so that it'd be easier to write. I didn't manage to get much brotherly bantering in this story - will hve to try and include more in my next one!

That was really good! I really like John as a character. I tend to rant a bit when people go off on how they think John was a horrible father. He may not have been overly affectionate on the show, but I'm of the strong opinion that the brotherly love Sam and Dean heavily display on the series, their motives for what they do, etc. just shows what a good guy John was

Thanks for your review - I'm really chuffed that you think I write well in an Americanized style - it's something I wasn't very confident with and even apologised regarding this to the readers who are following my long chaptered fic over on fanfiction.net. Although I'm English, I grew up in South Africa (I spent 11 years there), which has been heavily influenced by American culture, which probably helps me a lot (even today, I find American humour more funny than British!). I'm gonna sound totally thick now - I don't actually know what 'beta'd' means! From references to it over on fanfiction.net, I just kind of guessed it meant editing and seeing as I have an English degree I figured I could edit myself (though you wouldn't think that from the glaring grammatical errors in all my stories, because I rush my proof-reading - OOPS!)Your view of John seems very similar to mine. I think he did the best he could and that he definitely loved his boys. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I'm a pretty big fan of British humor. That's probably my family's fault :) There are also quite a few Britishisms that I know, some that I use. In fact not too long ago, I explained to a friend what chuffed meant and he now uses it :D

Yay! Thanks for teaching me a new word! I must admit it's highly unlikely I would ever use a beta as I'm kind of obsessively overprotective of everything I write. the only exception would probably be if I ever needed to write about a topic I had no knowledge of. Thanks for explaining it so clearly :)
