Not-quite-New-Year's resolutions.

Nov 23, 2005 16:40

So... snowstorm tomorrow! Yay!

For some reason I'm feeling the desire for some "reform", for some "New Year's Resolutions", even though that's over a month away. Still, no time like the present.

I REALLY have to start smartening up on the traffic and parking tickets... )

relationships, debt, house-cleaning, career, resolutions, future

*smirks*

I don't want to break any of these...

What makes me a greymuzzle? My age? My attitude? How long I'veb een in furry?

I do consider myself a greymuzzle, at least sort of, but I'm interested in why others might (not) view me that way.

Thanks. Realized I missed at least one, as well. I should also look up my last couple of "New Year's lists" and see if there's anything there that should be carried over...

The only part I see about when I move out is all the centralized 'entertainment' stuff will go away. People are already talking about replacing it with in-bedroom-units, which means I'm afraid the house will become even more fractured than it already is.

See, and I'm kind-of of the opposite mindset. To me, watching TV or playing videogames together isn't really connecting with people. I'm sort of excited to have the living room back to rearrange so that a) there's more room for the dining room, meaning I can have people over for dinner and b) the living room area is less congested and more of a comfortable "conversation area" where people can sit to talk, have a few drinks, sit by the fire, etc. etc.

Yes. The households. Part of our culture I think' but people who come to my home always think I have kids. I've decided my new place will sort of look like an adult lives there. An adult with a bronze tyrannosaur and anthro art, sigh. But I have definitely reduced the plastic toy component and should get rid of some of the cobbled together non decorator furniture before I move. I have a goodwill coffee table that someone made out of parkay floor tiles mounted on plywood I bought 25 years ago (ok I can't make myself part with that). Although I'm a little ahead of the game. I've been to furson's homes only to find out that the mess I saw was after they cleaned up for guests!

Also I'm getting paranoid. I've been driving since before you were born and I have yet to get a speeding or parking ticket. I have been in a couple accidents though but not in the last dozen years. I have this feeling like I'm due for a ticket and I'm starting to get cautious. I try not to go too much over 120 :)
