I loved the OT novelizations. They seemed a lot more fairy-tale-like than the movies, which was cool in a weird way. Of course ANH had some downright funky things in there like the dog and duck comments. :p But they were very evocative and otherworldly, and I liked that. Not to mention ESB had the hilarious Luke/Yoda kitchen fight scene--that alone makes the whole book worth it. XD

Yes, the duck thing was very cute. X) I just got to that part. The backstory the book hints at, though, seems totally different from the prequels. It's like George said, "Screw all this stuff. I want a whiny Sith Lord!" I'm only now realizing how much the PT really doesn't fit with the OT, obvious things like dumb Jar-Jar humor and "Leia, do you remember your mother, your real mother?" aside. It has a totally different feel than the PT movies or books. There's almost a Lord-of-the-Rings-ish feeling when they talk about the past. It's hard to explain. I'm enjoying it, though. Thanks for recommending it a while back.

nice list for the summer.
what exactly is a Koi pond?

oh and as for the dog, have you bathed him in tomatoe sauce? Because that actually works. My dog Becky got skunked sometime last October and that worked.

here she is http://silver-bullet6.livejournal.com/1898.html#cutid1

A koi is a type of japanese fish. It's something like a goldfish and you usually have them in ponds in your backyard. So, I not only want to put in a pond, I want to have koi in it, too. Extra work. X.x

Yeah, I used tomato soup the first time he got sprayed and it worked great! Then my mom does the same thing the second time he gets sprayed and he still smells months and many baths later. I think it had something to do with the fact that she didn't wash it out in his chest area (where he still smells) and the soup congealed and turned his fur orange. I didn't come home for another week, so maybe by not washing out the soup, she actually set the smell permanently into his skin or fur.

Hahaha! Poor miserable tomato covered doggy. X) She's cute. All dogs are cute when you give them a bath and they look at you like that.

I bought the skunk smell remover stuff and drenched him with it 3 times and most of the smell has FINALLY gone away. Just a whiff of skunk every now and then. I suppose the real test how he'll smell when he gets wet, cause that was when it was the worst.
