As has been noted... the next movie installment, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", will be released on the 11th... while the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", will be released on the 21st. Pre-order now! As with the two previous books, I hope to take Damon to the midnight book release party at Hastings. It can be fun, with people dressing up as characters and such and giveaways and prizes, etc. It's usually packed with hundreds of people.
So I took the kids to the movie on it's 2nd day out... decent but as usual, there was just way too much cut out. If you hadn't read the book multiple times, I could see where there would be confusion. Definitely not a stand-alone film.
Took the kids to the midnight release party for the last book. Read it this weekend. Good stuff. Characters die left and right. Lost count of the bodies, actually. That many. Almost made me cry. The epilogue was kinda lame, but otherwise, it was a pretty intense and fastpaced book.
