MySpace: the final frontier...

Apparently many people seem to think that MySpace is nothing more than a breeding ground to introduce pedophiles to preteen age boys and girls. Well, recently it's been more than that to me ( Read more... )

So when you say you're obsessed with it... what does that mean??? I mean, how obsessed can someone be with what is basically a virtual singles bulletin board? I'm not trying to disparage it, but really, when there are things out there with actual content, like LJ or whatnot, what's the draw to a basically static page? Do you just hit refresh over and over? I just don't get it, I guess. :(

Um, okay...I didn't realize Myspace was so unliked. I guess a big reason I like it is what Jason said...I have come back in contact and/or stayed in contact with people who I never dreamed I would see again. I really like that. Also, although I do blog now and then, I don't do so nearly as much as you and Jason. If you don't blog, your LJ page is pretty static. There's so much more to do on Myspace...post comments on friend's pages, blog, post bulletins for all friends to see, play with profile...and so much more. I also enjoy (and I know this might be considered lame) when I get messages or comments from friends. Myspace is like a whole different world. I pretty much always know what most of my "friends" are up to, even if they don't blog, because there's so many other ways of communicating. I like LJ, but I guess it seems a bit limited to me. :( And the singles part...? Not sure what that means. My profile says I am married, and so far I have yet to have a problem with single people trying to "get with me". LOL :)
