I need them. I want them. What are you reading? Send me some recs! I'm planning to hit up the library at some point soon but I hate wandering aimlessly. Help me compile a list!

(I realize that -0.02 people actually read my journal. Still thought I should throw this out there and hope for the best.)

Well, I don't think you'd find it at your library, but it seems like my entire flist was reading Demon's Lexicon...I hate getting on bandwagons, but I hate being spoiled even more, so I gave in and read it...and I surprised myself by really liking it.

I haven't started it yet, but someone rec'd me a book called the Reapers - it's a thriller, with bad guys and assassins....I guess it depends on the genre you like. I read just about any type of fiction except chick-lit. I like mysteries and detective series - Arkady Renko series is an older one but that I loved.

First of all what genre do you like? I read a lot and I pretty much like anything but lately I've been stuck in the young adult world of vamps and werewolves, pixies and immortals, magicians and witches. I do have other interests though. So if you're into YA fiction my current suggestions would be... NEED by Carrie Jones, WAKE & FADE by Lisa McMann, The Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith, Evermore & Blue Moon by Alyson Noel and the entire Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I've read all of these in the past 2 or 3 months and they're amazing.

If this is isn't your cup 'o tea, let me know and I'll see if I have some other suggestions.

Have fun at the library!

PS: I read your blog so does that bring you up to 0 instead of -0.02 people who read it? ;o)

I read pretty much everything, from murder mysteries to steamy romance novels to historical fiction to epic fantasy (like LotR). Thanks for the recs. :)

Maybe? I don't know, I'm really bad at math. I think that technically makes it 1 reader, though.

LOL!

You're welcome. I'm kinda like you... I read pretty much anything and everything, but I just can't seem to get out of this kick I'm on right now.

SWOON by Nina Malkin was another one I wanted to recommend. Not too bad! Not as good as the others.

Also, have you read The Strain by chuck hogan and somebody Del Toro. Excellent... again another vamp story but not young adult. It's quite scary.

If you're into murder mystery... I love love love James Patterson and Lisa Gardner. Both are fantastic. Horror books, Stephen King of course and John Saul are my fave's.

Happy reading!
