last night i drove to nevada on a whim. c. and i packed a duffel bag and a few hundred dollars and got in the car, desperate to escape the humdrum of home and eager to have our breath taken away by nature's beauty. we crossed the state line and stayed in a motel, woke up and had a 60 dollar breakfast, and spent the afternoon sitting on the lake
