Yes, Rory is pretty fantastic! I would love to have seen an episode with just him and the Doctor.

Rory is amazing. I love Rory. Totally much needed voice of reason (initially wrote 'raisin' here).

!!! I would KILL for an episode of Rory and the Doctor alone. See them thrash out some of their unresolved issues (I'm sure Rory has some unresolved issue with the Doctor.) Have to come up with a plan and work together to save somebody. Get drunk at a bar and then go cow-tipping.

Oh great, thanks for putting the idea in my head. Now I want want want WANT that so badly. (Especially the cow-tipping.)
