I went through a classic movie bias not so long ago, where within two weeks I watched nothing but black and white films from the 30s-50s. Enough classics, in fact, that when I finally got round to watching something in colour I was completely bedazzled

I remember that the ABC used to show old B&W's on Thurs or Friday nights late, and I would stay up late with my dad watching them. I saw Katherine Hepburns's 'Morning Glory' then. I love them so much. Film just seems such more rewarding back then.

When people say that violence or other shocking content can have more impact when it's merely implied, I tend to be skeptical. But although I've not seen it in years, the suicide scene in Stage Door still creeps me out!
