Well, me. Making your first post is a bit daunting, isn't it? It sounds like you managed to pack a lot of sightseeing into a couple of days. May I ask why you chose me as your first friend?

It was daunting to write my first post! It took something content filled like that to get me going. And why I made you my first friend - I really like what you write - the stories are clever and edgy - and you were what brought me to LJ in the first place, because Needs Must wasn't anywhere else that I knew of. I was hoping it was not too much beyond the pale, but since I didn't know anyone, and I knew no one knew me, I had to start somewhere.

I see - and thank you. It may be a good idea for you to have a look at my friends page - read some of the journal entries (there are quite a few other authors there - Shiv, Camillo, Keladry Lupin, Sylvanawood and Bambu to name a few) - and ask to friend those that interest you - they will friend you back - and you go from there. We're a pretty friendly bunch and quite a lot of stuff - drabbles in particular - don't get posted on the archives - so there's lots to read. It's over a year since I joined, and I'm very glad I did. So, now you've broken the ice, keep up the good work!

Thanks - I really appreciate it - I don't like having to figure things out and want someone to hold my hand, and you are really helpful. I don't feel quite so out of place now.
