All Is Well!

Hi, luvs! Well, my family and I survived Hurricane Sandy. Just some branches down but nothing major, thank the Goddess. We really dodged a bullet compared to New York, New Jersey, West Virginia, Connecticut, Rhode Island, etc. We didn't get snow like West Virginia but did get high winds, which made me nervous. No flooding here, but I saw that ( Read more... )

I'm glad to see you're okay. The weather has been crazy lately. I live in Nothern California and last week we had a tornado in the street in front of our house. We're okay, but it was still really weird. It's good to know that you and yours weren't hurt. The news is showing some pretty scary stuff going on out there. I hope all remains well for you.

A tornado! Scary stuff! Glad you're okay.

We're good here. Some downed trees and branches around but we only got the branches. Since the ice storm of a few years ago, last year's hurricane and Halloween snowstorm, I've had it with crazy weather!

It wasn't too bad out here. We had some wind and rain and my work closed down early but that was it. Some of the mountain towns lost power. My sister in Holliston hasn't has power since the storm due to fallen trees taking out the wires.

I feel really bad for the residents in New York, New Jersey, and other states that got hit hard. I hope they'll get a lot of help to clean up as quickly as possible.

Glad to hear it, Jen! Are you ready for the nor'easter heading our way? ;)

It's like a zombie apocalypse movie in New York: no food, gas, water, or lights and they say some people won't have electricity for weeks!

I'm hoping the nor'easter isn't as bad as it sounds or it misses us all together. My sister got power back just in time for Halloween. My nephews went out dressed as Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk. They had a lot of fun.

The scenes from New York are amazing and really sad too. There's so much damage that I can't even imagine how long it's going to take to get everything back to normal.

Iron Man and the Hulk! How cute! :)

Terrible down there. I saw part of Dateline NBC last night and saw a couple who found their house hundreds of yards away from their original location and they salvaged some things, but most of their belongings were a lost cause. They had to get there in a boat because it's still all underwater. :(

How could Bloomberg have thought holding the Marathon was a good idea? *shakes head*
