Poor Mel! Oh this was brutal to read, luv, I am biting my nails going to the next part. The worst part of it is perhaps that White and the others really don't think they're doing anything wrong by FBI standards, and that Mel has it all coming to him.

I really like that we are seeing so much from Doris's point of view in this story; she's like the eyes and ears of that office, watching everything from the sidelines. Her, Carter and Charles need to circle the wagons soon to get their Mel out of there if Johnnie can't hasten all to the rescue!
Oh I hope he shows up soon!

I know, it was tough to write at times. :(

*nods*

I wanted to explore the issue of Mel's betrayal with these men. Even Carter is unsure and hurt. I do enjoy the stories were he and Sam are on board immediately, but realistically, they would at least look askance at this whole thing.

So, yes, the harsh treatment would be condoned for the most part. Traitors deserve what they get! :(

Doris is a great character, isn't she? :) She sees and knows all! ;)

Oh I hope he shows up soon!Nothing will ( ... )
