Now I'm enjoying the image of you writing in a moat. :) I envy you that ability! I'm lucky that I can arrange my life to have some private space to write in, but if I lose that option writing would become a lot more difficult for me.

It's tough writing in a moat, especially if you have to dodge the moat monsters. ;)

Yes, I'm very lucky to have this ability. Some of my best writing has come in a crowded airport waiting for a flight! I have this inborn ability to block out distractions most of the time. Multi-tasking is key with me. Listening to the radio while watching TV and writing just comes naturally to me. It could be why I'm so prolific.

*Grin* With a goat in a boat on a moat???? :D

Neat! I used to be able to write on paper but I'm honestly much more comfortable with computer-writing anymore. the ability to go back and add bits as they occur to me is just too useful.

I do need quiet of a certain level--TV in the background kills my muses dead for some reason--but music is fine. People talking to each other is fine too, but not when they're talking to me. *g*

Looking forward to your next essay! ^___^

I'll take a goat over a gator! :)

I'm just old-fashioned in that writing on paper connects me with writers of the past. It helps, so I keep that method. When I need to add something significant, I make a note to 'See Additions' and
go to the back of the notebook under Additions, and note the page number so that I can go back to it.

I can hold conversations while I write, but of course politeness dictates you only scribble a line or two. :)

Discipline is the theme of the next essay! ;)
