Yes, it wasn't an easy fic to write, but once it started, it flowed easily.
The last line was perfect. It makes me want to know more about this couple.
Thank you, Green Eyes! And it appears I'm the one to come to for learning more about Diana and Steve. I think I'm the only one who writes them! :)

I truly love this, the descriptions, oh! and the colors the way they mix together, and it feels so Golden Age and guh! I love this really.
They way you mix the heritages and cultures of Diana's home and her adopted home together is great.
I love everything about this fic - it's so, so perfect. It feels right too.

I know, I know! :) Ironically, as a dyed-in-the-wool slash fan, I often team Diana, who practically lived on the Island of Lesbos, for crying out loud, with a man! LOL! But I can't fight chemistry. ;)

Thank you, Oszras! I'm pleased especially about the colors, as I believe that writing can create colors on a canvas of the mind.

Yes, she is a child of her heritage, but she's willing to learn more about the country she's come to help fight the Nazis.

Thank you kindly, and I'm glad you liked this story. :)

You know, I honestly don't mind pairing her with men, to me she's bisexual anyway (and poly-amorous). I mean the Greeks were already a open minded culture anyway and the Amazons have already evolved in many ways like technology, socially etc. since then. So yeah Diana is kinda "love for all" woman. :D

I totally agree.

Your welcome and I'm glad you wrote it. :D

Yes, it's all in the chemistry! While I intend to write her in a femslash someday (right now my femslash bunnies have been Catwoman/Black Canary and will probably be Silver Age Supergirl/Batgirl), I love her with Steve and in all the different incarnations I can come up. As Jen mentioned, I wrote them in the Civil War, and there was a nice little piece that showed them at peace while enjoying an island idyll. :)
I'm sure I'll have more plot bunnies with these two! :)

I've just been doing research on Iwo Jima, actually, so this really evoked the books I've been reading.
Aphrodite, if he’s gone, please bring him to Olympus. When it’s my time, I’ll join him there.
I love the bond between these two, romantic and comradely at the same time. Lovely.

Yes, two different timelines! :) But the war settings seem to fit. They first met during war (Wonder Woman's debut was December of 1941) and she's a warrior and he's a soldier/pilot so it seems logical! :)

Yes, I've seen pictures of the dead floating at Tarawa and other battles, and the Pacific battles seemed even more savage than the ones in Europe at times.

Thank you, Jen! :)
They fell in love at first sight, but grew to appreciate each other as friends and comrades-in-arms, too.
Blame a steady diet of reading these two while I was growing up! ;)

I do envy you your ability to describe without being bogged down in it.

Yes, sometimes it's not easy. I think I've gotten some sense of timing and pacing after all these years of writing.
