So, Clark, not much family left? So Martha and Kara are chopped liver?
To be fair, he has no idea where Kara is. And he just can't go see Martha whenever he wants without arousing suspicion. I think Clark wants some family that he can visit whenever he wants which he can do with the Kandorians.

And my main problem with Clark apologizing to Chloe about his anger with her Green!K weapons is not that Chloe isn't possibly correct in planning for a way to stop an army of Kryptonians. It's the fact that he said those weapons are what saved the day in the future and that's why Chloe should feel justified. They weren't. It was the computer virus that shut down the towers.

Plus, I think there's a big difference between Superman giving(trusting) Batman with one ring and the humongous stockpiles that Chloe and Oliver have all over.

Ah, but Bruce has a huge stockpile himself now! And Clark may know...or not. :)

But at least Clark trusted him with the initial Kryptonite. What Batman did in the comics doesn't have anything to do with what's happening on the show since it's an entirely different set of circumstances. I can't forgive them for what they've done because "it's something Batman would do" because neither of them is Batman.

Chloe stole from Oliver to start those stockpiles when there was only Clark and Kara and a bunch of clones that didn't have powers. And they didn't know if the clones could even be given powers. They then decided to keep all this from Clark. All while they continue to berate him for not being a team player and for not following protocols.

Oh, I agree with you! I'm tired of all the backstabbing and lying and what-all. I just brought in the example of the ring and Bruce to illustrate why I felt that the idea was sound. It's just the execution that isn't so great.

I *really* liked Metallo -- granted he should be meaner and all that, but I'm really liking what they did with this character, and man oh man, Brian Austin Green was awesome!

There were several times during this ep when I went "BATMAN does" or "BATMAN would" or... ya know...something or other with Batman. It annoyed the hell out of Eric. ;) This universe so very much needs Bruce Wayne. *sigh*

Love the review! If i can block out the Chloe scenes from my head, it was a pretty good episode though I'm not a fan of all the grunting BAG did as Metallo - it just struck me as very laboured acting. But I adored TW's performance as Clark - he was so different from usual.

One of the best things about this episode was the way Tom Welling played Red K-infected Kal. His eyes and lips just told the story, folks! ;)

Heh, most actors will tell you they like playing the 'bad guy'. The Good Guy has to 'good' all the time but the Bad Guy get's to do all the fun stuff.

And a lot of the time they're the characters that change & grow the most in a show.

Very true! And poor Clark never has any fun. :(

They can be! :)
