I've written other universes in which superhero relationships aren't universally acclaimed (the "Announcement" series) but in this particular world, I felt that there would be more positive than negative feelings about Bruce and Dick. Of course, most of the people in the know are part of the superhero community (most are pretty supportive in the "Announcement" series, too, with most of the opposition among 'civilians'), but this fic seemed to call for a positive environment.

Dick is so important to so many people! His loss would be a great one indeed for the DCU.
