I love the Classic Avengers feel of this -- even the dialogue feels right out of the early days of the Avengers, with "Shellhead," and "My pleasure, Cap" (ah, the good old days of pre-2007 when Tony sometimes got to be happy). And one of the villains even has a ray gun!
Steve felt charged with energy, ready to take a chance…
“Cap! Cap!”
He turned, quashing his irritation as a reporter ran up to him.

I'm pretty familiar with Classic Avengers, so I'm glad that feeling came across to you! :)

I love Classic Avengers. One of the great things about Marvel Adventures is that it has the *feel* of old school Avengers comics (also, MA Hulk is really cute and Steve and Tony are, going by the latest issue, probably dating).

LOL! Steve and Tony dating is always a good thing! :)
I grew up with the Classic gang, so I have a strong affection for them.
What is an Elisabeth reference? oops, misunderstanding. "Elisabeth" is a musical about the empress of Austria (commonly better known as "Sissi") and one of the love songs in there is called "Two ships passing in the night" Sorry for the confusion^^

Summary: Steve and Tony are like two ships passing in the night...
Do I spot an Elisabeth-reference here?
