They've sure had it rough lately, eh?

This is wonderful! And I love the way the pain is there, without overriding the story.

Poor Lex is used to pain, emotional or otherwise, I'm afraid. :(

That Lex is surprised Clark didn't kill him is heartbreaking, but makes sense given the canon.

It was a very telling non-action on Clark's part that he just couldn't kill Lex despite their friendship being long over.
